gun show/range/scope mess

I believe last Wednesday I called to get some estimate of when my
Remington 700P might arrive - or at least
confirmation that it would. I hadn't ordered a scope for it because
there was some doubt that I'd actually be able to get the rifle due to
availability related to the "P" in the model number.
The guy told me he'd have to call the distributor, and would give me a
call back either that day or the next. I got a voicemail one day late
(Friday, I believe)-- instead of giving me a time frame, they told me my
rifle showed up. !@#$!#... no scope. Put the phone down, picked it back
up, and ordered a
Leupold
scope for it.
I told them.. I was rather anxious to get it. They told me it would get
here "early next week". Well, it's Friday. I called them yet again.
Bastards did have my scope, but hadn't bothered to call me yet. They'll
be closed before I get out of work, so.. hopefully I can pick it up after
I get back from the
gun
show tomorrow.
I haven't been to a
gun
show in a long time - since before I actually got into guns. So I
really want to go to this one - closest one there will be for a while.
Tried going to the one last weekend, but didn't manage to get myself out
of bed early enough. So it should be interesting to see if I succeed
this time.
Gah... okay, I'll go to the range tomorrow. I really
need
to sight this rifle in... more than I need to get to this gun show.
