My 5 year high-school reunion
Sat Nov 25 17:21:30 EST 2000
I had my 5 year high-school reunion last night. I was reminded of how
much I didn't enjoy high-school. Ran into a couple females who I thought
were friends in high-school... went something like this:
| Becka: | The one from Dr. Clark's class ? |
| Nancy: | Noo... |
| Becka: | Yes! |
| both: | <giggles> |
They said it was nice to see me, and walked off. I don't remember
the teacher or the class. Apparently there was stuff I had reason to
block out of my memory.
The rest of the night was cool though. I'm pretty confident I'm
financially doing much better than the majority of them. And I looked
really good. The hair was beaten into submission, I was wearing black
suede pants, black boots, a blue raw silk shirt, black tie, and black
jacket made out of a material that females can't help but stroke.
Early in the evening, there weren't many people on the dance floor.
Maybe a few people. I like to dance. I took off my jacket, and I danced.
As I walked on to the dance floor, one female said "he can dance",
as if continuing a conversation with the other on the disappointment
of people's ability to dance. A moment later, she continued, "He can
dance!". It was cool. I danced a lot throughout the night.
She asked if I went to clubs at all, I nodded, and she commented that she
and I were probably the only ones present who did. Later in the night,
she said "you're the only guy here that can dance to this stuff."
Having 666 people in my graduating class, and being far from one of
the popular people during school, there were a bunch of faces I totally
did not recognize. But there were a few I was very glad to see, and know
that they continue to wreak havoc. John Beretta and Kevin Scott Taylor,
in particular.
It was good to see Nikki Barton, Erik, Christina, and Ami Butler, and
maybe 2 other people I can't remember the names of. I have always been
particularly bad with names. I really can't think of any more names of
people I was happy to see, which should give you some idea of how much
I liked high-school. A cool part was that Ami Butler, who is either the
student body president, or VP (the other is Trish Kieselhorst - don't
remember which has which position), was one of those extremely popular,
attractive females in high-school which I, of course, had nothing to
do with. Except I guess I talked to her some probably in the last year
of high-school. She actually recognized me when I got to the reunion.
That was cool. And she actually came over and danced with me at one
point. That was very cool. And she was one of the people I hugged
when I left. I thanked her for arranging the gathering, and she said
she was really glad I came.
I don't think I ever had that much fun in school.
I believe I've proven all that I needed to prove to any of them.
This, among other recent events, including a substantial pay increase,
have caused significant head inflation. As if my head wasn't big
enough already.
