'Nother kitten update (days 4-10)

We've been together over a week. He's stopped mewing like he's looking for his siblings. Monday & Tuesday nights
when I came home, he wasn't hiding -- he was laying in the middle of my bed. That was so awesome. But since then
I've had the windows open because of the heat, and that's apparently startling him enough that he prefers to hang out
under furniture. He basically starts purring whenever I touch him.
He's.. impressively playful. I think he's declared war on shadows. I've seen him attack buttons, wires, dust
balls, and some rubber thing rather violently. And he doesn't just crouch down & stick his but up in the air to pounce
-- he crouches down, sticks his but up in the air, and wiggles it. It is
so cute.
I really need to get to a pet store & pick him up some stuff to play with. And a grooming brush. I was so
irritated that all the cat grooming brushes at
Pathmark were pink. Ugh.
He continues to use his litter box. Such a good kitty. And I decided to push the litter box underneath one of the
dressers for privacy. He seems to like it there.
Last night as I was cuddled up with him, he started staring really intently at my left eye. He slowly scootched
closer. I was thinking "you goof, what are you going to do, attack my eyeball?" And then he did! He swatted my
eyeball w/ his paw... fortunately I blinked. But then I was laying there hoping this cute little furball wasn't going
to claw out my eyeballs in my sleep because they looked fun to play with. Shesh. I was like, "um, kitty, that's not
nice." He was purring the whole time.
